The Rattery is run by myself Jude Wilson. It is a work in progress.

I have been a member of the National Fancy Rat Society for a year and a half, although I have owned rats for about six years,
due to the interest of my children.

My aims are to continue to enjoy the rats as pets first and foremost, encourage breeding for health and longevity, and of
course, breed a Best In Show, and to attain my own Stud name (The Ratty Haven is merely the name I chose for the site).

Opposite and below are details of all the rats currently in the stud. At present they total 17.

The Does

1/ Pernod: a black self, bred by Serendipity. She has had two very successful litters and is now in retirement

2/ Charlie: a black berkshire, bred by Gill Thomas at the Rattified Stud. A sweet pet doe who is everyones friend

3/ Bianco: a black hooded, bred as above, who after a litter of ten is now retired

4/ Spelda: cinnamon, bred at the Rivendell stud. She has had one litter already, and a second is planned for the Spring

5/ Jaffa: silver fawn, bred by Tony Jones. She also has had one litter and is awaiting plans for her next

6/ Sable: black self, home bred daughter of Pernod & Smartie. Expecting her first litter in February

7/ Saphy: blue self, home bred daughter of Pernod & Smartie. Best Blue many times, notably at the London Championship 2001

8/ Tweezil: silver fawn, bred by the Sherwood Forest Stud. To be put into kitten in the Spring

9/ Skittles: cinnamon, home bred daughter of Spelda. Best Cinnamon Kitten at the Bradford Championship Show 2002, soon to be seen on the bench again

The Bucks

1/ Horlix: mink irish, bred by Clare Holmes. Has sired one litter, and is now a much loved pet making numerous appearances
in pet classes throughout the coutry. Best Juvenile Pet at the London Championship Show 2001

2/ Bailey: pearl, bred by Lucie Mann. Small but perfectly formed buck

3/ Smartie: blue agouti son of Pernod & Summatis, borrowed stud from the Rattified Stud. Proven stud, and winner of Best Stud
Buck on a number of occasions

4/ Black Jack: black self rex, brother of above. Personality plus, proven stud and great friend to Smartie and my son

5/ Musca: silver black self, son of Smartie & Pernod. Good show career to date, nice typey buck, as yet not proven

6/ Bilbo: cinnamon, bred by Halcyon Stud. Sire of Skittles. A buck with attitude

7/ Terry: silver fawn, home bred son of Jaffa & Toby, borrowed from Joanna Holmes. Still a youngster, but full of promise

8/ Echo: blue agouti, bred by Rowangate Stud. Latest addition to the rattery, and yet to blossom
