Flowers: 

The complex (green leaved) types flower mostly during the months of November to March. The mottled (tessellated) leaf type flower mostly in the summer months, and occasionally at other times of the year. Most hybrids only have a single flower, but some types known as multi-floral have several flowers to a stem. The flowers can last up to 3 months.

Watering: 

Allow the compost to almost dry out between thorough waterings. Never stand in excess water.

Feeding: 

Fertiliser at quarter strength with 3 waterings, then water only the fourth time to ensure any harmful salts are leached from the compost.

Humidity: 

Standing the plant on a pebble tray which is kept moist will create a micro climate around the plant and assist with plant growth.
