The Association of Roman Catholic Chaplains in Health Care arose out of a need to provide support for those involved in Roman Catholic Chaplaincy work and to develop and promote good practise in Roman Catholic Chaplaincy.

THE ASSOCIATION

  1. Maintains links with the Bishops' Conference of England and Wales through Bishop Howard Tripp.
  2. Encourages good ecumenical relations within chaplaincy work.
  3. Promotes a contemporary spirituality relevant to health care chaplaincy.
  4. Provides two annual Study Days.
  5. Publishes two editions of the RCCHC Magazine each year.
  6. Offers advice on practical, moral and ethical matters arising within chaplaincy work.
  7. Enables the sharing of experiences and mutual support through its meetings.

Each member of the Association is entitled to:

Attend the Study days at a reduced cost.
To receive two copies of the magazine each year.
To receive an Annual Report from the Executive Committee.
To raise issues and vote at the Annual General Meeting.
To be nominated for election to the Executive Committee.

A broad representation of members from all parts of the country is needed if the Association is to fulfil its role effectively.

Please consider joining the Association.
