The Association of Roman Catholic Chaplains in Health Care arose out of a need
to provide support for those involved in Roman Catholic Chaplaincy work and to develop and
promote good practise in Roman Catholic Chaplaincy.
THE ASSOCIATION
- Maintains links with the Bishops' Conference of England and Wales through Bishop
Howard Tripp.
- Encourages good ecumenical relations within chaplaincy work.
- Promotes a contemporary spirituality relevant to health care chaplaincy.
- Provides two annual Study Days.
- Publishes two editions of the RCCHC Magazine each year.
- Offers advice on practical, moral and ethical matters arising within chaplaincy
work.
- Enables the sharing of experiences and mutual support through its meetings.
Each member of the Association is entitled to:
 | Attend the Study days at a reduced cost. |
 | To receive two copies of the magazine each year. |
 | To receive an Annual Report from the Executive Committee. |
 | To raise issues and vote at the Annual General Meeting. |
 | To be nominated for election to the Executive Committee. |
A broad representation of members from all parts of the country is needed if the
Association is to fulfil its role effectively.
