Some Basic Information about Guilds

What Kind of Guilds are there?

There are three types of guild available to join: Professional, your job, usually reflected by your class (For a Warrior, the Warriors guild). Political, to represent your characters political views (Usually more helpful in Freeform situations). Social, formed mainly by adventuring parties these guilds are the most fun to be and probably the hardest to be allowed entry into.

How do I join a Guild?

Quite Simply for a Proffesional guild it is a matter of making sure that you meet the requirements and asking the System Head or your ref of the day to make the appropriate changes to your character sheet. For Political Guilds it is more likely that you will have to either petition for a place or be invited to join. In the case of Social guilds you will find that most are run by player charcters and you will have to find them if you wish to join in with the fun and frolics.

Are there requirements to join a guild then?

Well yes there are actually. Most guilds won't let you join unless you have already begun thy adventuring career and been on one mission at least. Even then some guilds will not let you just amble in, there are racial and class restrictions, Xp restrictions and outlook (alignment) restrictions.

Is it worth joining the guilds?

Well, yes, there is a community guild benefits, bonus cash for dungeons that sort of thing. Some characters choose not to join guilds, others choose to form their own guilds, more often then not social. Of course there is always a downside: Most guilds charge a tithe to be in, taking some of your hard earned cash at the end of your dungeon, others demand certain tasks and duties from characters. On the whole most characters will join a guild.
