Ronan Keating World Ticker Terms Of Use
By downloading and using the 'Ronan Keating World (RKW) News Ticker', you accept the following Terms Of Use.

1. You may only use the Ronan Keating World News Ticker for the purposes outlined at the website.

2. The Ronan Keating World News Ticker must not be integrated into any application, web page, website or other user interface or front-end, apart from your own computer's desktop as a Windows Active Desktop component, as outlined in the installation instructions that accompany this package.

3. Any reverse engineering of whole or part of the Ronan Keating World News Ticker is strictly forbidden and must be used in whole as provided by Ronan Keating World.

4. The Ronan Keating World News Ticker must not be redistributed by any means, without the explicit permission of Ronan Keating World.

1. Unzip the file: rkwticker.zip to a location of your choice. (E.g. In a folder called ‘RKW Ticker’ in your ‘My Documents’ folder).

- Windows 2000 and XP
- Windows 98, 98 Second Edition and ME

Instructions for Windows 2000 and XP users

2. Right-click anywhere on your Windows Desktop and choose Properties

3. In the Display Properties window, select the Desktop tab and click the Customise Desktop… button

4. In the Desktop Items window, select the Web tab and click the New… button

5. In the Browse window, locate the ticker.htm web page in the folder where you unzipped the file (E.g. In a folder called ‘RKW Ticker’ in your ‘My Documents’ folder), then click Open

6. Make sure the item is ticked in the Web Pages list and then click OK.

7. Click Apply, then OK

8. The ticker will now appear on the Windows Desktop but the floating window may be not sized correctly, so do the following.

9. Place the mouse cursor over the ticker until a grey border appears with some window buttons on the top right corner of the ticker.

10. Move the cursor to the bottom right of the ticker until a double headed arrow appears and then hold the left mouse button and drag the window until the ticker can be fully seen (you will be able to see it fully when the scroll arrows disappear from view).

Instructions for Windows 98, 98SE and ME Users

4. Click New

5. Click No for the Microsoft Active Desktop Gallery and in the Browse window, locate the ticker.htm web page in the folder where you unzipped the file (E.g. In a folder called ‘RKW Ticker’ in your ‘My Documents’ folder), then click Open

6. Make sure the item is ticked in the Web Pages list and then click OK.

7. Click Apply, then OK

Important installation tip:  When you first connect online, you may still receive an error in the ticker.  To get the latest updates, make sure you click 'Refresh' in the ticker console.
