Bristol!
Bristol, May 17th 2003

I didn't know what to expect from Bristol - I had already seen "a few" gigs from the same tour and, besides, my usual "partner in badness" ;) Thelma couldn't make it :-/... But the guys surprised me once again and made it another very special day! :)

It all started on Saturday morning, when I met up with Annie, her sister Michelle and Kathryn at the Ashton Gate stadium. The taxi driver who drove me there was coming to the gig too... but at first he thought I was going to a different event as I was getting there THAT early! :))
But it was well worth it... once in the line, I started realizing that the whole webboard was there :)). It was very nice to meet so many people again, and lots of new ones too.

The security was... well, they would deserve a chapter on their own!! They were simply the best :). They brought coffee... offered informations and advice... constantly checked if we were ok... one of them even offered me his gloves when he saw I was freezing! :)
We were free to pop into the venue whenever we wanted to check the progress or to take a picture of the stage...
I didn't miss that chance of course:

The stage with the megascreens - before they were blown away

We spent all the time chatting and laughing with them, so that the hours went by extremely quickly. When the opening time came nearer, they made sure that the first group of people lining up (us included) could get in before everyone else. What else can I say? Way to go guys... wish they would all learn from you! :-)

It was cold and raining... although luckily we had a (sort of) roof on our head. I couldn't help being very Italian and spending the day moaning about the weather (sorry, Annie & Co.! ;))! But indeed, it was freakingly cold!!!

The strong wind had knocked down one of the megascreens, so we had to wait longer than expected. But at 5.30 the time finally arrived, and we were allowed inside. Thanks to the advanced entry we all got first row :).
