BSA Scorpion

BSA Scorpion .22 Pistol

Here is my Scorpion pistol.  Sometime in the late 'seventies, my Mum took me to see Les, my Godfather and long-time friend of the family.  I was quite shocked to see this elegant, beautiful but very lethal looking pistol on the sideboard in the hallway of Sheila and Les' house.  Les saw that I couldn't take my eyes off it, explained a bit to me about airguns, then we took it out into the garden where he let me shoot it at a metal plate stuck in the rock-garden for the purpose.  I missed, but, in retrospect, this could have been the start of my life-long love of airguns.  Sadly, Les died recently, and left me this pistol (amongst others) in his will.  It was really nice of Les to do that, as this pistol is very important to me.  It has the least value of all four of the guns he left me, but it was the one I wanted most.  It still shoots very well, but it is a little too powerful to shoot in the living room, being one of the most powerful spring air pistols ever made!  Thanks Les.
