The Raft - 'Uh-Oh Amen are coming back!'

In a world where artistic integrity is more often than not sacrificed at the expense of comercial success, Amen are a dying breed. As far as punk rock goes, AMEN might just be today’s closest thing. Never afraid to look risk in the face, their music might not be glossy or technically polished but their authentic expression of a lifestyle has won them a huge following of devotees worldwide.

On 25 June Amen release 'The Waiting 18' the final release from their now seminal album 'We Have Come For Your Parents'. 'The Waiting 18' will be available on 2 x CD’s and 7'' vinyl. CD 1 has the title track plus two new previously unreleased tracks ‘I Can’t Bleed’ and ‘Freedom Now’, while CD 2 features two further unreleased gems ‘Murder is All Right’ and ‘Another Planet’.

The vinyl version will be housed in a black bag because of its controversial artwork. The b-side is a live version of the track Justified, which was recorded for Radio One’s Lamacq Live, when the band played Oxford on the NME Carling tour on 29th January 2001.

Amen blew the audience away with fantastic set at the recent Ozzfest and are currently in Europe playing the summer festivals. After that the band will be going straight into the studio with producer Ross Robinson to record their third album. Hallelujah!
