Sonny Mayo is the bald guitar player of Amen, having left Snot to join Amen just before Snot's demise. He has a speed metal background, and has been in the bands Silence and Souls At Zero. Sonny first met Casey Chaos at the Hollywood Palace, at which time he was still in Snot, but after hearing Amen's first demo, he decided to leave Snot and join Amen. Sonny played the saxophone for six years, but he bought a guitar after hearing Metallica's 'Ride the Lightning'. He is from Arlington, Virginia, USA, and he used to trade insults with Washington DC punks on his way to school, living only six blocks away from the Dischord Records HQ. |
