Range Guide

Basics of Ranging:
Range can become a very useful skill if at the right lvl. It can be used in all sorts of ways like, when going pking with friends you can help them out, or when trying to kill something you cant reach like a monster in a cage (even though you'll need tele grab to get their item). Those are just 2 ways out of many that the range skill can be useful for. And unlike magic you can still have range lvls and be pure.

Types of Ranging:
There are two types of way to use the range skill. One way is The Bow and The Short Bow. Besides just being plain Long Bows and Short Bows there are different bows that can be made using your Flechting skill. Some bows that can be made are Oak bows and Magic bows. Those are 2 of the 6 types of bows that can be made. Each bow requires a certain lvl to make and a certain lvl to use. The higher lvl it takes to make and use the stronger the bow. Now the other way to range is by using the crossbow. The crossbow like the Short Bow is a one-handed weapon meaning you can also hold a shield in the other hand while shooting it. The same is not true with the Long Bow, which is a 2-handed weapon. Now there isn't much verity of crossbow as there are Bows. There are just two types The regular Cross Bow and the Phoenix Cross Bow. The Phoenix Cross Bow may be gotten by joining the Phoenix Arms Gang Which is needed to complete some quest the other ways of getting this bow is by finding it or buy it from someone. Also the RUMOR is that the Phoenix Crossbow works better and/or gives extra experience. REMEMBER THOUGH THAT IS JUST A RUMOR I DON'T KNOW IF ITS TRUE.

Range Training:
Range training can be VERY frustrating trust me I know. But once you start to get your lvl up and are hitting 4's it start to be kind of fun. Even when it seems impossible just keep trying. If you're a kind of non stop player and you keep practicing every day it should take no longer then 2 weeks at the most and 1 at the least to become a lvl 30 ranger. There are so pretty good training spots on Runescape. My favorite being in barbarian village, where you can stand on one side of the table and shoot the barbarians on the other side. Another good spot is in Falador where you can stand on one side of the mot and shoot White Knights on the other, but that is main for pretty high lvl rangers.

Equipment:
Equipment is obviously the most important thing of all. All your equipment can be found by killing monsters, bought in the store ect. . Below ill show you a table of some equipment.
