First off - don't forget the Society's AGM, to be held in the Queensway Club bar, at 8.00 p.m. - tapas are being provided.
Next up, the Quiz at Corks Wine Bar. In point of fact, after the last three years, I'm not sure whether most of the participants are there for the quiz, or for the pleasure of the supper provided by Corks. I can pretty safely say that in the cases of Colin McHard and myself - it wasn't for the quiz.
We're kicking off at 7.30 p.m., and this year's quizmaster is myself - so come well armed with the least useful information you ever knew in your life. The cost of the quiz is just £4.50 per head, and that includes the plate supper. I haven't got the prizes yet - but expect something bottle shaped.
Meanwhile, something Dog-shaped arrived in the Turner household last week, after she had been abandoned in Pinar Del Rey. If you know anyone who'd like a cute little "mainly - Pekinese"; one year old, and (so far) very well behaved - click here and read on!
