French impressionist paintings. Especially Degas and Renoir. Black and white films of murder mystery and suspense. Especially Hitchcock. |
The impression is only created by standing a certain distant away from the painting. They are almost optical illussions. Depending on the light and shadow, the painting almost becomes real. |

Black and white cinema films between 1940 and 1960. |
My favourite actors: Jimmy Stewart James Coburn Steve Mcqueen Laurent Bacal All of the HiItchcok films. These films created real intrigue and suspense. The acting was convincing and the stories where well written. I dislike the american action movies because they glorify violence and many have no interesting plot. Alot of small british film makers are coming up with interesting low budget but powerful storylines and excellent acting. Watch out for James Pogson. film producer based in Birmingham. |
