How
to get to Saltaire
"Saltaire is best approached by train, from which you get a feel of the valleys cutting through the Pennines, enclosing the railway, roads and Leeds-Liverpool canal with the eighteenth- and nineteenth century industrial villages and towns threaded along them. Saltaire is by far the most handsome of the West Riding industrial towns and, unlike many of the others, is spankingly kept up."
John Martin Robinson The Architecture of Northern England, 1986
Aw wor pratty weel tired an sooin fell asleep, an'
