Bodhrán Promotions concerts are only the best known of
music events at the Victoria Hall among others
are the Days of Dance, the Bradford
Youth Orchestra and brass band concerts
by the Co-op Band and the world famous Black
Dyke Band based at nearby Queensbury
Exhibits
A selection from the Saltaire Village
Society's collection of material relating to the Village
is displayed in a case near the entrance
Many of the original fittings of the Institute
are still in place including the presentation portrait of
Sir Titus Salt which hangs in the lobby at the top of
the stairs
Harmonium and Reed Organ Museum
Pam and Phil Fluke's collection is housed in the
room originally used as the Library and as a class room. Phil,
one of the foremost restorers of these instruments is normally on
hand to explain their workings and the development of this
cinderella of keyboard instruments. The collection includes
harmoniums of all kinds from tiny portable versions to the
largest ever built there is even combined piano-harmonium
There is a small charge for admission
