The duo used to be a quad when Spud and Luca were alive.
Above and left is Spike. He was happy curled up in the igloo with his brother Luca but now has to make do with Angel for company!!
Above and left is Angel. He is a huge buck but doesnt like being handled much....he is quite happy being fussed over whilst still in his cage but not being held. He is the dominant buck.
The 'pet shop boys' as they are collectively known, have been well handled from the minute they came home and they were tiny, but sadly they havent developed a love of coming out and prefer to be stroked while in their cage.
As can be seen from the pictures of the piles, rats love to be in groups (usually), I always wonder how the one on the bottom can breathe....
YOGIE
If all rats were like Yogie they would be known for being slow, dim and cuddly and not fit and agile. He can fall from a shelf in his cage and wont actually wake up until he hits the floor and will then lay on his back and look around trying to figure out how the hell it happened.
Yogie is everyones favourite. He is so laid back that at times he appears to be comatose. He is a big cuddly teddy bear with rolls around his middle and fur that is well on its way out!! His ears are massive and have to be cleaned out as he gets wax in them.
He is the stud of the boys and has produced many kittens and is also a grandad.
Elmo is a silver grey and is a lot smaller than his brother Yogie. He is lovable but doesnt quite match Yogie although having a brother like that is hard to match.
ELMO
PIGS
These boys act like they have never been fed and are always ready for the treat bowl in the evening. When the cage is opened they all launch themselves at the bowl. They find it impossible to wait and they try to grab as much food as they possibly can and run off with mouths full like huge hamsters and paws carrying as much as they can fit in them! It is a sight that really has to be seen to be appreciated.
MOOSE
Moose was our first dumbo and came from Lucie Mann. He has gradually turned out to be a loving chap but sadly despite many attempts he has failed to mate with any does.
Moose as we first saw him.....a strange looking creature who looks like a Moose!!!! Novel name eh!
BILLY
Billy is the grandson of Yogie and has his temperament. He has won both best rex and stud buck at 2 shows and I am very proud of him. He loves to eat. He is a mink rex.
ARTY
Arty is usually asleep and prefers to be on the high shelves in the cage where he can watch the world go by without any effort. He rolls off occasionally when the food bowls go in or a treat is in the offing!!! A true buck.
BAGPUSS
Bagpuss is a silver grey rex and is a top eared version of Yogie. He doesnt seem to be the one who got the brain cells although at 5 weeks maybe it is too early to label him as thick!
