STAR WARS THEMED FLOAT
Welcome to the Making of the Star Wars Theme'd Float for British Steel
Once the construction of the welded metal frames had been assembled Large amounts of Pink (Fire Proof) High Density Foam and wooden cladding was attached to the frames.
The ATAT's legs were created from profiled sheets of foam sandwiched between sheets of exterior wood then clamped onto the frame work.
All reference was taken from books and articles based on the Empire strikes back and Return of the Jedi films.
The Deathstar was positioned at the back of the Float also with Darth Vaders head as the otherside of the Deathstar. Wooden ledges was used to adhere foam sections to the outside of the
Deathstar. The whole of the Deathstar finished with a coating of paint.
The front of the Float was made to look like the SailBarge from Return of the Jedi. Between the ATAT and The Sailbarge will be a Snowspeeder made to the scale. So that a child
can sit in the cockpit!!! The Whole of the floot of the float will be snow, while the barge steps and rails will be painted a dull brown colour.
