Bismillah
The First Revelation
as understood by Sumayyah(UmLuqman)

TO invoke the Name of Allah is a protection to the Muslim, it also is a celebration of the knowledge of Allah,
To say Bismillah is to celebrate the revelation to humanity, and the exchange between Jibreel (AS) and the Prophet Muhammad (SAWS).

Quran Suratul Alaq 96.1 Proclaim! (or read!) in the name of thy Lord and Cherisher, Who created

Bukhari Volume 1, Book 1, Number 3:(narrated by Aisha (RAA):..."the Truth descended upon him(saws) while he was in the cave of Hira. The angel came to him and asked him to read. The Prophet replied, "I do not know how to read.

The Prophet (saws)added, "The angel caught me (forcefully) and pressed me so hard that I could not bear it any more. He then released me and again asked me to read and I replied, 'I do not know how to read.' Thereupon he caught me again and pressed me a second time till I could not bear it any more. He then released me and again asked me to read but again I replied, 'I do not know how to read (or what shall I read)?' Thereupon he caught me for the third time and pressed me, and then released me and said, 'Read in the name of your Lord, who has created (all that exists) has created man from a clot. Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous."....

This one phrase, Bismillah, is very powerful, It incites the heart to believe in Allah, to worship and obey Allah, it shows us the Power of Allah.  As you read the hadeeth of the revelation above, The Angel Jibril (AS), told the Prophet (saws) to read (recite) , after saying this a couple of times, he then stated Read(recite) In the name of Your Lord, Bismillah!  It was only after this phrase, Bismillah that Rasool Allah (saws) was able to read (recite).  La hawla quwatta Illah Billah (There is no power or might greather than Allah)

Alhamdulellah Rabbil Al ameen! (all praises and thanks are due to Allah, the Lord of All the Worlds and Mankind)

When we say Bismillah we are acknowledging the Divine Guidance (it keeps us safe and is of Allah's Mercy)

Bismillah = revelation, recitation, and memorization which Allah (swt) have made easy to us.

When starting with Bismillah, we are honoring Allah (SWT) Beneficence to the Universe.

Alrahman Al raheem coming soon...

I once again, ask Allah (swt) for forgiveness for all errors, for Allahualim.

We must remember that it is not the natural laws that create, but is the will of the Creator of those laws
