Well here it is, the tenth "Shadows Workout" CD and there are still loads of titles yet to cover.

I have on this compilation again attempted to provide something for all skill levels and have this time included only one non-Shads title that being "Flor D'Luna (Moonflower). This is a pleasant latin-style instrumental with a slight jazz/rock feel to it and was originally recorded in the late '70s by Carlos Santana. This will probably appeal to the more ambitious players out there and hopefully offer space for a bit of individual interpretation.

On "Fender Bender" I have included a mix including the second lead guitar and one without for anyone who feels like tackling both parts at once!!!

On "Montezuma's Revenge" there is a section in the middle sixteen bars where on the original Hank, in order to achieve the sound overdubbed the same guitar part on another track a second time. This was a very common trick for him to use and often on this second track he would break into a harmony part for some of the phrasing which would help accent or colour certain sections. I have included this second guitar part on the backing track. Also, a similar section occurs in the main melody of "Trains And Boats And Planes" and I have included this on the backing track.

Thanks again to Dave Prickett for his superb keyboard playing and also to George Height for adding a bit of extra percussion here and there.

Finally, not forgetting many thanks also to Nick Smith for his 5 string fretted and fretless bass parts on "Pulaski".

Well that's the tenth CD completed. I suppose that I had better now begin work on number eleven!!!
