Salawaat ul Khidri: Sallallaahu ‘alaa Habeebihee Muhammadiw wa Aalihee wa As-haabihee wa Sallam

“May Allaah (Almighty and Glorious is He) send blessings upon His Beloved, Muhammad (Allaah bless him and give him peace), and upon his Family and upon his Companions and Peace.”

To Complete this Wazifa:

Once the above has been recited (with the appropriate numbers i.e. 100, 300, and 100). Blow upon your right hand and wipe your right hand (fully) over your face and then over your heart (which is located in your left chest.)

Note:

The beginner must always begin at the beginning. He should recognise the difference between the Divine Law [Shari’ah] and the Way [Tariqah]. The Divine Law is a reality that is obligatory for every believing man and woman. Concretely speaking, the Divine Law consists of practicing that which Allah (Exalted is He) has Ordered and avoiding that which He has forbidden. The believer relies on guides to indicate clearly to him what to discard and what to follow. The Quran and Sunnah are the foundations or all guidance. The schools of the Divine Laws [Madhabs], the writing of the scholars and their living inheritors relay and explain the guidance. Whoever keeps to this guidance will be on the Straight Path [Sirathal Musthaqeem].

The Way [Tariqah] is the firm intention of the Divine Law. It does not exist outside of the Divine Law [Shari’ah]. It is the resolution to follow the Sunnah of the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) as completely as possible in every aspect, both external and internal. To follow the Way, the disciple puts his trust in the judgement of the Shaykh for the correct understanding and application of the guidance of the Quran and the Sunnah. The disciple places his hand in the hand of an authorised, living Shaykh and must proceed as indicated by him. He must be ready at all times to receive the orders of his Shaykh, just as the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) awaited the coming of Jibra’il (peace be upon him) with revelation from Allah, Almighty and Exalted. In the same way he must follow the Shaykh's orders, carrying them out to the letter. He must have the "conduct of anticipation," which means that he must constantly await the orders of his guide. He must adopt the attitude of a hunter to its prey, being oblivious to all other directions.

The disciple should keep to his daily dhikr and should obey the order

Salawaat ul Khidri

This Blessed Salawaat (Durood) Sharif is amongst the elite Salawaats that have been transmitted to the Muslims. It has been recited by many Blessed Awliyah-Allah (The Men of Allah the Exalted) and has featured in their daily prayer routines. It has been narrated that Shaykh e Tariqat Arif e Haqiqat Shair Muhammad Sh’her’ka’puri 'qaddas-Allahu’sirrahul’aziz' used to recite this Salawaat Sharif continuously and they advocated to their mureed’deen (students & disciples) to recite this Salawaat. They stated that in terms of words this Salawaat Sharif is very short but in terms of its meanings it is a ‘Jamia’ Salawaat meaning it incorporates salutations upon Sayyidunaa Muhammad Rasoolallah Salla Allahu ‘alayhi wa alihi wa sallam, Their Blessed Family the Ah’lul’Bayt and Their Blessed As’hab’e’Kiram. The meanings of this Salawat are so vast that to mention all would consume the inks of this world.

One of the blessings obtained from reciting this Salawaat Sharif, that constant and regular recitation of this Salawat would render the reader a highly respected servant of Sayyidunaa Muhammad Salla Allahu ‘alayhi wa alihi wa sallam. Further, in his Deen (Religion) and his Duniya (worldly matters and engagements) that persons faces no shortfalls, the reciter receives from Allah the Exalted peace of the Heart! The reciter of this Salawaat Sharif obtains all the wealth of this world. This Salawat Sharif has been a focal part of the daily routine of The Noble Shuyukh of the Naqshbandi Tariqah 'alaihim-ur-ridwan'.

My Respected Shaykh Arif e Haqiqat, a Qibla for the hearts of those who advance in the way leading towards Allah the Exalted, Master of Tasawwuf Shaykh e Tariqat Khawajah Mawlana Shaykh Muhammad Aslam an-Naqshbandi 'qaddas-Allahu’sirrahul’aziz’ recited this Salawat as part of Their daily prayer routines. My Shaykh Quddus’sirrah delegated the daily regular recital of this Salawat to all their Khalifs and mureed’deen and to all who met them.

Shukur Al’hamdu’lil’lah by the Grace of Allah the Exalted what an opportunity has been bestowed upon us grave sinners that we have an opportunity to redeem our self. I pray may Allah the Exalted give me and the reader the Tawfiq (power and resolve) to seize this opportunity and recite Salawaat upon Sayyidunaa Muhammad Salla Allahu ‘alayhi wa alihi wa sallam and change our condition and that may the reader be bestowed with the company of the Awliyah Allah and the Sad’diq’qeen (The pious men of Allah the Exalted).
