Umbanda - the Afro-Brazilian Spirit Religion with millions of followers
all over Latin America - is a religion of the people. Open to everyone
who needs help, guidance and support, Umbanda holds many mysteries to
enrich our lives and our spiritual evolution. In many ways similar to
Caribbean Espiritismo and European Spiritism Umbanda is amalgamation of
everything that ever set foot unto Brazilian soil
- Amerindian and African Shamanism, Catholicism,
European Witchcraft and Mysticism as well as
Kardecian Spiritism and even some Eastern Philosophies.
At its core is honoring the ancestors and the spirits of the dead as
well as a deep connection with the elements of nature - the forest,
the beach, waterfalls, rivers and the ocean. Umbanda is the religion
of the people - open to all who need help and support!
We are starting a new Umbanda Mediumship Study/Development Group
in South London/East Surrey. The group will meet twice a month
on Saturdays to study and develop Mediumship.
