The Original Version it was approximatly 20 feet tall and walked on small chicken like feet, the armour was of a good standard and so was the cockpit

Metal Gear (Version 2 (D))
Re Built with better armour and better weaponry, the new version was capable of running at 10 mph and now had a much better multiple missile launcher, which could now launch 6 missiles at a time!
A Mini version of this called Metal Gear MK II features in SNATCHER
Created by Harry Benson, it is Gillian Seed's navigator, but has AI which is humorous and being programmed to like the same women as Gillian he makes fun of him from time to time.
The unit has is fitted with many facilities: videophone, flashlight, motion sensors, analysis tools, storage compartments and video / audio memory.
Harry says this about the Metal Gear MK II:

Metal Gear Rex
Developed by Arms Tech the new Metal Gear Code Named Rex, was constructed with inpenitrable armour and it's new arsenal was devastating!
The arsenal consisted of Rail Gun, Nuclear Launcher and Missile Lauchers, Machine Guns and Close Range Laser Cutter.
Metal Gear Ray
Developed by the US Marines, the new Metal Gear Code named Ray, was Designed for Fast Movement and Aquatic Movement. Weapons on the new version are lower, but just as powerful!

Arsenal Gear
The Navys Metal Gear, it was constructed with the intention to house a massive control system called GW, its only weakness is it's reliance on defence mechs which are the result of converting Metal Gear Ray with AI.
Shagohod
Created by Sokolov and Glanin using Philosophors legacy it is a giant tank designed for fast mobility. The front 2 legs have 3 functions, to pull it along using the skrew like tracks, to lift the Shagohod to launch position and to drag it over obsticles a toddler. It carries a single Nuke, but is also armed with mutiple rockets and duel gatling guns. It has a second mode were the back is detatched and it just runs on the front tracks and the head is rotated 180 Degrees.
In this mode its only armed with machine games and a laser.
Metal Gear Solid
M1 Tank: Also known as the ABRAMS the tank was a lead unit in the US Army and is capable of fast movement and firing range
Hind - D: A Russian Helicopter, very similiar to the Apatchi of the US, it is capable of fast movement and can carry a very large armoury
Metal Gear Solid 2
Kasatka: Both a Civilian and Military Helicopter in Russia, the Craft is capable of carrying many people amd has a very quite enginw, it is know as the Killer Whale
Harrier: British made over a period of 10 years the Harrier is the only Military aircraft capable of hovering and fast flight. Shame the US had to buy them :)
Metal Gear Sold 3
Triumph Motercycle: Developed by Germany these has been customised by Russia when they gained the production line, powerful they can go very quick and without a sidecar they can be increadibly acrobatic in the right hands...
Hind: The original model a modified Mop designed to carry troops as well as a large arsenal, the developer is the Granin design bureau.
Floating Platform: Original developed by the British, the Granin design bureau stole the plans and developed these themselves, they are essential small jet pack platforms for which the GRU use them for protect, reconisance and assault
WIG: (Wing In Ground Effect) A water jet aircraft with 4 engines it uses its special dymanic shape to hover just above water. Designed by the Soviet military design bureau's during The Cold War
