Dog Tags
Almost every guard in every difficulty level bears a set of dog tags.
Tips:
Hold up the guard from behind using any gun.
Drag the guard to a better place if needed.
Point the gun at the Head or Groin and the guard should relieve his Tags.
If not select the live gun and shoot above head (Need silencer here)
Select the M9 and knock the guard out.
NOTE: Some Marines have tags to!

Get to read Book 3 in the Special section called “The Untold Truth of Shadow Moses”
This book details the entire events of the Shadow Moses incident through the eyes of Nastasha Romanenko with Richard Ames! The book shows the true version of the game and what happened to every survivor after the game, including Naomi!
In game secrets
Tanker
Drop it! – Drop a guard into the river and a pic will show this in the Shell 2 core flooded area
Honeys – Hidden around are pictures inside lockers and on hidden walls, these can be used to distract guards and if knocked in a certain place you alert the guards!
Raven! – In the entrance to the tanker room is a small Raven model which when hit starts firing pellets!
Pipe Trouble – In hold corridor 1, hide in the side area (3) as soon as you see the guard, hug the right wall and keep looking round the corner, a pipe will fall and the guard will get suspicious until another guard bumps into him.
I’m Not Ready! – In Hold 1 is a Marine still wearing just his boxers!
Nice Show! – In Hold 2 keep pressing the projector button to cause 2 films of Girls to show, but you get found lol.
What! – Access Hold 3 via the ducts and see Ocelot standing next to the left leg of Ray
Destructible’s – The following are destroyable:

IR Goggles – Dive back into water to find the goggles in the bottom right
Shaving – VH & Ex only. Go into the fenced off area in the deep sea area and collect the shaver, give this to Plisken and later Solid Snake will be clean shaven
Honey’s – Found in Every Strut these pics also now include New York, the Empire State and some Konami Eyes Girls
Cardboard Express – Find the boxes on Struts A, E (x2), F and Core 1 and get on the Delivery machine in strut E and travel quickly to different locations where boxes feature (Struts A, C, E (x2), F)
Send them flying! – Stun guards on the helipad and place them facing the drop, wake them up and watch with glee as they commit suicide!
HellRaiser! – Shoot loads of M9 darts into Fatman to get this man looking like Hellraiser
Knock Knock – Knock on the top and left walls of Core 2 to pee off the President! Also do this to terrify Emma in the locker
Weapons
Nutted! – Hold up a guard, carefully punch at the groin and watch with glee as he collapses to the floor
Cruel Intentions – Hold up a guard use a handgun and shoot both hands and a leg. Watch as he bleeds to death and falls to the floor. If he runs it’s so funny!
Don’t shot both legs as its instant death!
No Choice – Use any rocket weapon and the guard will wet his pants and relieve his tags
Dazed state – Try and shoot the ! or ? and the guard will become dazed, allowing you chance to escape
For! – Use the Nikita and hold up a guard, when he shakes swing the launcher and he’s out a light!

Cornel Campbell
In Strut C look down at a loo and Codec.
Shoot gulls and you will get contacted also Rose will not allow you to save without an apology.
While in Arsenal, listen to Campbell’s bizarre comments, some are actually quite interesting.
Rose
Contacting Rose often you will find she talks a lot about April 13th and how they met.
Peer at Emma through an air vent and Rose will complain.
Pliskin
Pliskin is quite the expert on a few things:
Weapons (appoint a new weapon and contact him)
DeadCell (Olga, Fortune after seeing them and Vamp before the President dies in Shell 2 Core)
While Pliskin sleeps keep contacting him to get various responses “Liquid”!
Long winded this one after meeting Peter, rush to the CD bridge and shoot the box, after defeating Fatman select Box 1 and codec, he will comment on using a box and Raiden shooting his!
After the President dies in Shell Core 2, keep contacting to get some of the funniest comments you’ll ever hear!
While on the Oil Fence shoot Pliskin and then quickly codec, he has quite a few words to say! Before shooting you.
Emma
Knock out Emma and she will start mumbling the comments made by her parrot.
Shoot Emma and she will complain to Raiden
On the Oil Fence contact her after listening in on her comments behind Pipe 1
Metal Gear Solid 2 : Substance
This is basically the same game, but it has some key differences:
New Dog Tags
New IR and Night vision Goggles
New Cast Theatre with new cast options
New Boss Battle, now includes 2 Soldier attack episodes

Snake Tales:
A Wrongdoing – Basically this a is an easy opener were you go and find Ames in Strut F, once complete you have to meet Jennifer in Shell Core 1 before fighting Fatman on the Helipad
Big Shell Evil – A ghost is on Big Shell and its your job to find Emma, she’s found in Strut C, win the fire fight that follows by killing all the waves (hide near port) once complete you have to take Emma anticlockwise around the Shell, eventually you reach Strut E, another fire fight starts, however there are infinite waves so your best option is to just rush the top left exit. Once achieved move to the Shell 1-2 bridge and battle the Harrier
Confidential Legacy – A very informative tale telling you about Meryl’s family, this is basically a repeat of the tanker episode with a few key differences, that you fight Meryl and run away from the hold.
Basically you go to the Control Room, move down to the Holds (you shoot and run from here) then return to the Deck outside the Control Room to battle Meryl
Dead Man Whispers – This ones an interesting one, Snake is taking part as a Seal in an exercise between Scott Dolph and a Navy Commander (One killed in game) with Vamp gone renegade, its your job to find Scott first (in room were president was) then make your way down to fight Vamp (you don’t swim sadly :( )
External Gazer – A very bizarre one using the idea of multiple Universes and how the VR system was affecting other realities. Snake takes part in a few VR missions, while this is happening Snake has to reach AB Bridge to take a picture of the mysterious Gurlugon. Once this is achieved snake battles the Gurlugan and now we play as Raiden. An eternal loop one this but you do learn a lot about Raiden. The only way to escape the loop is to select Exit before another VR mission. Now Snake must battle 6 Metal Gear Rays before finally battling Solidus on the roof of Federal Hall.
Completion Bonus:
Complete a Snake Tale and you earn the M9 for the second run; complete again disposing the end boss with the M9 to get a new ending
VR Missions:
To unlock all missions you have two options:
1. Complete the 5 missions on MGS2 The Document disk
2. Start a new file and save, then reset, opt to not load and all missions are opened.
Note: Remember to save the file with the desired name.

Raiden X (Naked) – 100% complete Raiden (Grey Fox Ninja) first

Zoradius Game: Go into Extra missions and fight vic viper, pause the game and enter: ^, ^, v, v, <, >, <, >, L1, R1
This unlocks a Gradius type game in the extra missions menu
Zoradius Power ups: pause game and enter: ^, ^, v, v, <, >, <, >, L1, R1 this gives you all attacks and a shield.
Alternate Zoradius Ending: Complete game with a score greater than 570,000
Power Mechs: Complete game to unlock all 4 variations of Jehuty to play again, you also can start with all secondary weapons
Hidden VR Mission Files: When you play through the game again look for hidden files (found mostly in Vacilia Outskirts, Lloyds Base and Tunnel to Aumaan) These unlock additional missions to play.
Extra Missions Bonus: Complete all missions with high score to earn a new background
VS Mode: Complete game once, to play multiplayer mech fighting
Naked Jehuty: Aumaan second game, below shoot beams and pass through
Note: you must use Jehuty or Version 2 Jehuty.
Inhert: Find his icon hidden in the second section going down to his Center
Aumaan Anubis: Go left and left again when disabling the facilities and use vector cannon to destroy wall.
Tank Top Ken!: Dangle Ken in the lava before reaching the escape point, to view all the cg and comms up to Lloyds base with Kens suit off!
