Southern Region Youth
The Camping and
Caravanning Club has a youth section for 12 to 17 year olds. This is also known
as the CCY or CCCY. Most District Associations (DAs) have a youth section which
is run by duly appointed Youth Leaders.
The aim of the CCY is to provide positive camping opportunities, experiences and practical knowledge to young people in a structured, safe and fun environment.
Typically the DA Youth Leader will organise youth lines with various activities and training at as many of the DA's meets as possible.
The Regional Youth Liaison Officers (RYLOs) are appointed by the Southern Region Council to maintain links between the various DA youth leaders and coordinate youth activities within the region. Click here to E-mail the Southern Region Youth Liaison Officers
In addition to the youth activities of each DA (which you can find out about by contacting the DA directly) There are several events throughout the year where the youth of the Southern Region come together.
