EDWARD TAYLOR (MIKEY) O'TOOLE

Born: October 7, 1888, godparents Pat Donelly and Ellen Ryan (St.Patricks baptism register).
Married: October 11, 1910, by J.J. McDermot, witnesses Richard & Anne Murphy of Waterford Bridge Road (St. Patrick's marriage register).

Edward was baptised "Edward Toole". It was a common practice at the time for the "O'" to be added, sometimes by the priests themselves. Edward's marriage record lists him as "O'Toole", but we may or may not be related to any other O'Toole's in Newfoundland, and the surname Toole is now fairly rare. Edward remarried shortly after the death of his wife Mary, but apparently not at St.Patrick's Church.

I have very little information on Edward's father, Michael. Any info regarding birth, death, or marriage dates, property ownership etc. would be greatly appreciated.
