1. If Field trips do not require fees, email the field trip coordinator by the designated date to make reservations. Reservations after the deadline will only be accepted if space is available and at the coordinators discretion. Many field trips have a minimal number for attendance and may need to be canceled if the appropriate number of reservations have not been made.
2. If a field trip requires money, you should RSVP by sending the amount due to the event organizer/field trip coordinator with the participants names and ages on or before the RSVP date. Fees will only be refunded by coordinator if the event is canceled or in the case of an EXTREME emergency.
3. Please be on time!!! Allow enough time to be there at least 10 minutes early.
4. Dress appropriately. Will you need sunscreen? A sweater or a light jacket? These are things to think about when planning your trip.
5. The field trip organizer is the field trip coordinator for the duration of the trip. Please instruct your children to listen to and obey the instructions. Remind them about not talking when others are, staying with the group, paying attention. Please respect the rules and regulations of the facilities that we are using; such as no running, climbing or touching, etc.
6. THE FIELD TRIP COORDINATOR HAS THE AUTHORITY TO ASK YOU AND YOUR CHILDREN TO LEAVE IF YOU DO NOT KEEP THEM UNDER CONTROL.
7. If you can stay to help clean up, please offer to do so.
8. Make sure to check your email the day of or the night before a field trip to make sure there have been no changes/cancellations (especially in the case of rain).
As a member of SPICE - Supporting Parents In Christian Education, we agree to the following waiver: We understand that there may be risk involved on field trips and activities. We understand that as the parent or legal guardian of the child(ren), that we are responsible for the supervision, welfare and conduct of our child(ren) while attending any field trips or activities. As an inducement for my children to participate in field trips and activities, we hereby release and discharge SPICE, its officers, directors, successors, and assigns, from any and all claims, damage, cost and/or liability for injury to myself and/or my child(ren) while attending field trips or activities, or while being transported to or from field trips or activities.
