Sunday Lunch Jism!Fans of the JF sympathisers Lee & Herring May have been thrilled, as I was, by their recent show This Morning with Richard not Judy. It seems our little cause has not been forgotten by the comedy team that unleashed a Fist of Fun onto the world. The now famous Cambridge heckle seems to have done the trick, for jism was worked slyly into the show. The sketch in question focused on the belief Richard Herring has that the 5 Spice Girls, of popular music fame, represent the 5 types of women. Baby Spice, for instance represented the type of woman who is "blonde, and nothing else!". The conclusion of the sketch involved the type of woman Mel C represents, and of course Mel C, aka "Sporty Spice" whose full name is Mel Chism (and is, as our Strange but not True's correspondant can reveal, is TalkRadio presenter's Scott Chism's daughter!). The word Chism was questioned throughout the show in an almost Vaudevillian repition: "Mel Chism" Until the sketch ended with a cardboard cut out of Mel C (who incidentally represented the type of woman who isn't that much to look at, and thus must learn a skill, such as hopping) leaping onto the lovely Stuart Lee's fertile loins to collect, as Mr. Herring states "Your gametes". At this the delectable Stuart says "Jism" to which Richard says "Gametes, Stu, it's more polite" And their we are! Finally Lee and Herring have made true their promise, and broadcast Jism to the nation, and on live TV to boot! The only sour note is the idea that Mr Herring has with regard gamete being in some way a better word than jism, but he is quite clearly wrong! No doubt it was out of a sort of comic irony that this statement was made, Mr Herring often playing the less intelligent of the two, next to the near godly intelligence, and all round well-wouldn't-you-ness of Mr Lee. I think the foundation can safely claim its first victory, and an email of thanks has already been sent to the duos account, and any replies shall be charted in our correspondance page.
This Morning with Richard not Judy shall return to BBC2, in "the spring". |
