Several natural gorges and glens have been carved out of the landscape around the Finger Lakes region in New York State. Buttermilk Falls state park is in Ithaca, and is one of many beautiful natural wonders. This is my favorite view, and is very far back in the gorge.
Wooden bridge, softened.
Another view of Buttermilk Falls state pak--far back in the gorge is this wooden bridge which allows visitors to cross from one side to the other. The gorge is difficult climbing, but certainly worth the view.
