This was taken in the graveyard behind my house. I wanted to catch the evening sun between the cracks in the monument. I think it lends itself wonderfully to sepia tone.
Aug. 5, 2004...another spectacular sunset, especially when it's got the cooling tower backlit to such a degree it looks like it's on fire.
garbage day, and I find this on the trash can lid. If I had been thinking, I would've moved the scooter and the cooler. Either way, it was a lucky find.
This was another lucky find...I snapped this photo driving home on I-81 the evening of Aug. 4, 2004 going about 70 mph. This just had the "AAAHHHHHHH" feel of a church choir. I'm not one for organized religion, but I LOVE this photo.
Driving down the road again, August 2004.
train tracks on the shore of Lake Ontario, photographed at sunset on Aug. 7, 2004.
one of the outlets into Lake Ontario, also taken Aug. 7, 2004.
This is a completely unretouched photo, save a little cropping. This is the reason Oswego, New York was voted as having the best sunsets in the world (although this view was from my front porch, a little bit east of Oswego). Photo taken Aug. 5, 2004.
This is another unretouched photo. The sky was more purple this evening than I've EVER seen it before. I HAD to photograph it while driving. The car in front of me was also going slowly to keep an eye on the sky. Taken Aug. 5, 2004.
My favorite pond; this photo had a slight treatment to give it that soft, fuzzy look.
