Historically Accurate Costumes

Costumes can be made to a variety of degrees of authenticity. These garments are made with materials as near to historically accurate as possible, and with patterns drawn, where possible, from primary sources; the authenticity increases with degree of hand-sewing. All external seams are generally stitched by hand; if, however, absolute authenticity is not required, they can be made somewhat cheaper to LRP or theatre standard.

All of the costumes below were made by Squinty Witch between 2000 and 2002. Click on each thumbnail to see the details of the costume.
