ST. ANNE’S SUMMER FAYRE

SATURDAY 12TH JUNE 2.30-4.30 pm
Admission: 20p adults, 10p children
MANY STALLS including
Raffle, Tombolas, New Books, Bric-a-brac, Games, Sideshows Refreshments & Cakes
FUN FOR EVERYONE

If you have items for the stalls please telephone Luton 615549 or bring them along to the church on Sundays, boxes will be in the vestibules, or bring along on Friday 11th June between 7-9 pm or to the church hall on Saturday between 10-11 am. Offers to bake cakes are very welcomed. Thank you for your anticipated support.

FAIR TRADE
On second Sundays of the month, after church, there will be available Fair Trade foods and confectionery to purchase, supplied by Tearcraft. Do make use of this opportunity. And are you buying Fair Trade bananas in the supermarkets? If we don’t, bananas are likely to become a fruit that we only remember as they will not be in our shops at all.

TAKE A TRIP TO TAIZÉ
Young people aged between 15 and 30 years old are invited to join a week’s visit to the ecumenical international Taizé community in France. The Bishop of Hertford, the Rt Revd Christopher Foster will be leading the party from Sunday 25th July to Sunday 1st August.
Three meetings have been organized to help pilgrims prepare for the visit. The cost for travel and accommodation will be around Ł200. More information from Ruth Pyke on 01727 730746 or Jeremy Crocker on 01707 262689. More information about the Taizé community on www.taize.fr

FEBRUARY TRIP TO SCANDINAVIA

The Vicar of St. Anne’s is leading a diocesan trip to Oslo on 1st-7th February 2005. It is not a holiday, though there will be some time for sightseeing. The aim is to strengthen the links in what is known as the Porvoo Agreement.

SCOUTS NEED BREAD
Well, the Scouts need you to eat bread, especially “Kingsmill” bread. If you do, please cut out the token on the packaging and let the Scouts have it. (There’s a box in the church entrance for the tokens.) For Kingsmill Bread tokens means ‘Kit for Clubs’!
