	Apologies for the lack of updates of late. This is due to my returning to university, and being over-burdened with work :-). Assurances that another update will be along shortly, including the addition of the sites for those who have requested inclusion in the database.

	Sept 1st was another record day with 37 hits. This was, no doubt, in the main part thanks to Nics little advertising stunt. I continued today weeding out more of those typographical errors from the site (theres plenty enough of them).

	A new section for a new month. I was sent a set of Stargate SG-1 wallpapers to be put onto the site so I have created a new section for Wallpapers created by you, the reader. Visit the section [here] and see what's on offer. Thanks to Nic at [http://www.monkeywinkels.tk] for getting a load of hits for me which helps with the 'keep the .tk domain campaign'. Please be sure to check her site out as she needs those valuable hits too. I admit that a lot of the content on this site was produced in a bit of a hurry so there are a lot of typos. I have now begun the process of weeding them out. Also, the battle to reduce loading times continues. Because I was in such a hurry to build this site, I was too lazy to implement CSS (something I really regret). Hopefully I'll get CSS put in place ASAP to help streamline the site since loading times for some pages (most notably this one) are starting to get out of hand.

	Apologies ladies & gentlemen for having accidentally uploaded the wrong html file yesterday, temporarily turning this site nto a Red Dwarf page. The problem is now fixed, and everything should work as normal. I've also added onto this site functionality for the user to be able to acces Stargate stuff directly from Amazon.com. Finally, I increased the compression on the main title banner to shorted loading times.

	Im going away today until tomorrow afternoon, so the next substantial update will not be until sometime tomorrow (Saturday). I added a Gen. Hammond wallpaper, bringing the total number up to 10. Yesterday was a record, with 25 hits which was pleasing, lets just hope that it keeps up.


	25 July 2002

	Today I focused upon expanding the [wallpaper section], which now contains 9 original desktop wallpapers, including one each for the four members of SG-1. Also today, I added the downloads section to offer that little bit more here. The search box on the home page has changed to allow the user to limit a search to specific areas of the site. Total page hits reached 65 at about 10pm GMT, but the next few hours are usually the peak time; as the American audience starts to come in. Hopefully we could be in for a record day.


	24 July 2002

	Today I added the [wallpaper section] in order to offer a little more here at the database. I also added several more links (most notably links to Kurt Russell sites in the [Cast & Crew] section), bringing the total number of unique sites listed to 84. Monday and Tuesday saw hits sagging dramatically which was disheartening. I suppose it was to be expected that the promotion would take a few days to kick in. Indeed; figures for this evening were more promising; it seems that the links that people have kindly provided are starting to generate traffic.


	21 July 2002

	The site went live this evening, after a couple of days of construction. I have been frantically adding links, bringing the total number of unique entries into the 70s. Now comes the hard part od promoting this site. Search engine submission is easy, but I have had to appeal to the generosit of the wider Stargate web comunity to solicit the links needed to bring traffic into the site Early signs are promising, with 17 hits in the first couple of hours. Tomorrow I go away for a few days which should give the site some time to establish. The work continues when I return.
