How was it for Yule? haha... Goddess I crack me up... sorry! Yule was good this year, my main focus was to reiterate Samhain's
banishing, and begin to focus on the coming year and all of it's new beginnings. 2002 couldn't have got much worse, although
it's high point (Matt's and my wedding!) was about as high as high points get, illness plagued us all year and life was very
hard.
Did any of it work? Well, within the first 4 days of 2003, I had been taken of my medication and discovered I'm pregnant!
New beginnings are flying at me left, right and centre. Blessed Be!

My Samhain ritual this year...dare I say it... went well!! I did a banishing ritual (as is traditional at Samhain) to be rid
of negativity and negative feelings and thoughts, and since then life has involved a lot more smiling! I'm not so stressed
and therefore neither are the people around me. We've stopped having trouble from the local kids who have been terrorising
us for the last 18 months,( they screamed through our letterbox at a crucial point of the ritual but luckily I managed to
keep focused) and life in general is seeming a lot more positive. I feel good, nah nah nana nana nah, I knew that I would,
nah nah nana nana nah!
Blessed Be

When attempting a banishing spell, be sure to know EXACTLY what it is you wish to banish. Great care must be taken to ensure
you are banishing the right thing. I'm sure we can all recall instances on one witch-related sit-com or another, where not
phrasing your spell correctly can have disasterous results. It's not just Hollywood that this affects! So take some time beforehand
to really think about what it is you wish to banish. Is it that someone is being deliberately hurtful towards you, or is it
that you are mis-interperating them? Are you incredibly unlucky? or is it that you don't have faith in your own abilities?
Often just thinking about the spell you are about to work on helps you realise you are casting completely the wrong spell
for what you really need! So take great care or you could do more harm than good. Remember the Rede; ' An' ye harm none, do
what ye will'.
Sometimes however, the results of a succesfull spell can manifest in unexpected ways. Early in 2002 I cast a healing spell
for myself to be healed of my (as I had been informed by my GP) chest infection. I made and charged a charm of rosemary, eucalyptus
oil and clear and rose quartz and carried it with me. Two days later I was admitted into hospital with a potentially life-threatening
blood
clot on my lung. Not the result I was expecting, or indeed hoping for, but I'm still alive and, fingers crossed, healed. So
remember to expect the unexpected ;o)
