Very good start fine solo cornet sound, detail of staccato quavers is very good. Good control of dynamics with good tuning and intonation. Well done sop. B again fine balanced sounds good phrasing and detail very evident. 4 before C slight tuning problem.
D fine dynamic control. Again sop work noted. Fine ending.

Salute To Youth
Resilience Good clear start made. (30) Clean playing, slight blip sop. Eroico fanfare troms very good, good cornet work, (50) Good use of dynamic contrasts. Con fuoco - Fine playing with great drama. Bar 98 not too good a start with a few blips. (131) Bass brass tuning problem. (150) Very good playing. Fine close to the movement.
Romance More distinction required in first bar. Slight blips in solo cornet. Some of the soloists not always secure. (20) Good horn work, but again the odd insecure moment from the odd player. Sostenuto - fine style with well controlled dynamics. (45) well done sop and euph. Good build to a fine controlled ending.
Relaxation Clean start then off the rails for a bar, bar 7. The very clean and effective technical playing. (40) three before, great sounds with controlled accounts, great through 50-60-70. (90) fine trombone work. All works well through to andante. Euph plays well and good control of intonation, just the smallest of blips. Solo cornet fine sound and well shaped. (144) quartet well balanced. Come Prima - fine exciting playing with great dynamic control. Great finish.
A fine performance. Well done Band & MD just the odd blip. Thank You.
