Miyamoto's
doom
Part 3
A dark shadow fell over us and I looked up. I could feel my
mothers heart
beating in rapid speed as she realeased me from our embrace. Once
I felt the
warmth of her body leaving me it was like....like losing
something I didn't
even knew I had.
"Miyamoto Dahlia?" the shadow spoke.
His voice sounded like a chainsaw and his face and body were
covered in some
sort of towel, I could only see his eyes--dark, mean eyes. The
towel moved a
bit and I saw something red underneath them. I leaned in a little
closer and
saw it was a large red R.
A member from Team Rocket!!
My mom stood up. "Yes that's me." she said and they
started a conversation.
I didn't listen, I could only worry about my mother. Did that guy
came here
to kill her? Maybe because she hadn't done her work right? I
wanted to
protect her from them, but what could I possibly do?
I looked around and saw some people staring and pointing at us,
they weren't
used to strangers--and they knew my mothers' connections so I
guess they were
suspicious, or afraid of that man. Couldn't blame them for that--I
didn't
feel completely safe standing so close to him either.
The man handed my mom some papers and a tiny map, she forced them
into her
pocket.
Why had he given her a map? Where is she going to? She hadn't
even told me
where she was going! When is she coming back? Why can't they let
someone else
go?
"Jessie," her voice stopped my train of thoughts and
she kneeled down in
front of me. "I have to go now Jess, they're waiting for me."
She smiled when she saw my confused expression and pointed at the
dirt road.
"See that car over there?" she asked.
I nodded, I hadn't noticed it stopping there.
"That's my team, they're going to help me on my mission to
catch Mew. It
isn't going to be easy, but with their help I'm sure we'll do
fine"
Mew--I've heard of the name, some kid once told me that Mew was
one of the
most raerest Pokèmon in the world and it was presumed that it
was extinct,
until a few days ago scientists discovered that it was still
pretty much
alive, they found one high up in the mountains, but before they
could catch
it for further examination they were surprised by a sudden heavy
snowfall and
they lost track of the Mew. The only evidence they had were some
photographs
of it and people still weren't sure wether they were fake or not.
Was Team
Rocket so sure of its existance that my mom had to capture it for
them? What
if it doesn't exist?
Before I could ask for an explanation she kissed my cheek and
gazed into my
eyes.
"Goodbye sweetie," she said as she turned away from me.
"I'll be back in a
few days."
She walked towards the black car and a tear escaped my eye as I
watched her
closing the door behind her. She didn't look back as they drove
her away from
me.
She was gone.
I felt a cold hand on my shoulder and I turned around--I stared
straight into
the eyes of the towelman. "Don't be sad my dear, it's not
like she'll never
return to you," he said as he narrowed his eyes--I couldn't
see his face, but
I was sure he was grinning. "Then again," he said in a
sly voice. "You never
know what might happen!" he chuckled and shook his head.
Now he'd done it--that voice was one thing, but making stupid
jokes is
another!
I clenched my fist and brought my head a little closer to his.
"So what you
are saying is that if something bad happened to my mother, you
wouldn't care at all--is that it?!" I screamed in his face.
He didn't move, he just stood there..dumbfounded. When he had
recovered
from the shock, the only thing he did was laughing at me.
"Woho, that's not what I meant, I mean--if I would insult
someone like you,
I would only bring myself in danger now wouldn't I?," he
stopped his idiotic
behaviour and gave me a serious look.
For a moment I actually thought he was being serious, until his
eyes started
watering and he bursted out into a fit of irritating giggles.
Big mistake--I brought my fist up and slammed it straight into
his chin. The
look he gave me was one of surprise as he fell on his back. I
couldn't help
but smile when I realized how pathetic he actually was.
I rubbed my fist and turned around, leaving him laying on the
ground--probably figuring how a little child like me could have
knocked him
down. I walked down the road, back to my house.

"That girl has a lot of guts," he thought as he leaned
against a cherry tree,
watching the red-headed girl walking down the road. "She'll
make a good Team
Rocket member."
He grinned as he pulled out his cellar-phone and dialed the
Headquarters
number.
