October 2003 - Cheryl
Wild, Chair of Governors
We are heading into our 3rd week back in the new school year and things are looking really good! The school had a facelift during the summer holidays when Noah's Ark Painting Company painted most of the exterior of school which had begun to look shabby and also did the most fantastic mural in the Infants cloakroom - a Jungle, the children love it!
We had some work started on our 'Courtyard' project, which will include a biblical garden, and a dry riverbed made up of stones that the children and staff brought back from summer holidays. Unfortunately the contract has hit a few snags and so is not complete yet, but when it is we'll see if we can publish a photo as it will be pretty spectacular!
We are pleased to welcome on board David Cousins who is a newly qualified teacher taking one of our year 4 classes and we also welcomed Mrs Jadali back from maternity leave. Our newest recruit onto the Governing body is Jim Monaghan, who many of you will know from St Peter's Church. I'm sure he will be a great asset to the school in many ways.
We are looking forward to continual progress in all aspects of what is a very busy school life!
