Who are SMS ?
Stress Management Solutions is the Stress Management service provider with a national team of over 150 trained Stress Management Consultants.
These are NOT general counsellors, but trained specialist Stress Consultants.
The Company is owned by
Dr. Andrew Bathie, a Stress Management Consultant with fourteen years experience.

Why deal with Stress ?
The Health and Safety Executive estimates that 40% of all certified absent events are due to stress and stress related illness, after absence due to flu & colds. This is achieved by completing a stress audit, introducing workshops (stress awareness & prevention) and one-to-one stress counselling.

The Stress Audit can be just a snapshot of stress felt by managers & employees or a more detailed investigation into stressors (such as duplication, management / employee problems), depending on your requirements.

In addition to awareness and prevention of stress, the workshops can also involve issues specific to your situation. These can be between half-a-day to two days duration. As these are practical workshops, not lectures, numbers are usually kept small (ie less than twenty-five).

The one-to-one stress counselling helps employee's identify the source of stress. Reduce it if practicable or change their perception of the stressor. They will also learn how to relax themselves at will and gain better perspective.
