The Diana, Princess of
Wales Memorial Award for Young People was launched nationally on 4 April by
the Rt. Hon David Blunkett MP, the Secretary of State for Education. Every
secondary school, special school or middle school in the UK, maintained or
independent, can now nominate one student, or group of students, aged 12–18,
for an Award in each academic year.
This
new award is intended to recognise and celebrate the extraordinary and often
unnoticed contributions many young people make to their schools and
communities and to their own personal development in the face of adverse
circumstances.
Is
there someone you would like to nominate for an award?
