The Subaru World Rally Team will be using a completely new car this season. The all new Impreza will be used as the basis of the rally car. Reports from the testing indicate that the drivers are happy with the new car, and believe it has great potential. The Subaru drivers this in 2001 will be; Richard Burns as the number one driver in the team, Petter Solbeg, Markko Martin and Juha Kankkunen will all be drivers for the team, but will not all compete on all of the rallies. The drivers best suited to the rally, and most likely to win points in the team's eyes, will be nominated for manufacturers' points, only two drivers can be nominated per team. With a combination of young tallent and experience in the driver line-up, thing look promising for Subaru to have a prosperous year in rallying.
