| The Sypeland Crags lie at
the heart of the Sypelands and are visible from nearby tracks to the
east and south east. Their strange mushroom like shapes describe an arc
across the moor and provide a place of mysterious beauty and wonder.
The rocks are also an attraction to climbers and it is a great shame that despite efforts by the BMC, they remain private and inaccessible to the general public. However new legislation which would define moorland of this type as 'Open Country' could mean access may be possible in the future. |
