          HILDA PARISH MEMORIAL LECTURE

          The Natural History of the Amazon Region by Professor Sir Ghillean Tolmie Prance FRS

          Sir Ghillean started his career with 25 years at the New York Botanical Garden, then 11 years as Director of the Royal Gardens, Kew.
          He is Scientific Director of the Eden Project. His talk will be based mainly on his own research and exploration.
