Outside the coastline not controlled by the Dutch. The locals had a great illegal business smuggling fish, rich and other things to local markets outside Dutch control. Therefore Luitenant ter Zee 1ste klasse (LTZ 1ste kl.) J. B. J. M. Maas a central control centre to control this kind of shipping.
Because of this more of the local vessel started to come to Semarang. Every ship gave a new problem. Since they often complained about being robed at sea. Therefore LTZ 1ste kl. J. B. J. M. Maas asked Batavia for reinforcements. And on 1st September 1946 Hr. Ms RP 107 was stationed in Semarang to patrol the water here. LTZ 1ste kl. J. B. J. M. Maas also received extra personnel which was housed in Kleine Boom the former custom house which made the patrol vessel basis.
In the end of October 1946 LTZ 1ste kl. J. B. J. M. Maas also got Hr. Ms. RP 109 under his control. Since this RP was more seaworthy and had a greater action radius it meant it became possible to patrol more intensively. And the complains started to be further between. But it never become completely secure to sail at sea.
The Hr. Ms. RP 107 continued to patrol the north coast of Java for two months. Then after a maintenance period from 18th October to 5 November 1946 it was directed to Makassar. Instead Hr. Ms. RP 111 was directed to Semarang in mid October 1946. The Hr. Ms. RP 109 continued to patrol the north coast until 4th January 1947 when it was back to Soerabaja. Hr. Ms. RP 111 had already been ordered to Bali at the end of October 1946. Hr. Ms. RP 114 stayed for a time in Soerabaja and arrived in Semarang on 1st November 1946. Here it continued to patrol until the end of Maerch 1947 after which it was transferred to Tandjong Priok for maintenance.
