Features of Search Station

The Search Station is a helpful extension for researching. It contains "Search Sidebar", "Translator Sidebar", and some toolbar items.

Search Sidebar

Displays only required search results on the sidebar. It is efficient.

Translator Sidebar

Displays only required transration result text as well as Search Sidebar.

Highlights some keywords typed in searchbar. It is based on "Petit Search Tools"

Sortable list on the Page Info (0.5 to 0.7)

On the Page Info dialog (Tool -> Page Info), enables to sort the list items.

Features (How to Use)

Search Sidebar

It is easy to use. First, clicking View -> Sidebar -> "Web Search" to open search sidebar. Next, select an engine and enter keyword. Finally, press Enter or "Search" button.

This Search Sidebar resemble one of Mozilla Suite (Netscape 7) in appearance, but differ in operation. This sidebar does not load into the browser's content area. The search results is displayed on sidebar. Click "View Content" button to display the results on the browser's content area.

In some search engines, some images may be contained in the search results. The detail of each search result may be able to be displayed by right click.

Translator Sidebar

First, clicking View -> Sidebar -> Translator to open translator sidebar. Next, choose languages, you wanna translate from and to, select an engine. Finally input a certain sentence of several lines and click "Translate". Then, displayed translated sentence. It may take over 10 seconds to translate.

All of these items can be added or removed to the toolbars. You can add only the required items.

Those items use the default firefox's search bar.

[Search] button

By Dropping text here you can set it to search-textbox value.

[Highlight] button

Highlight search-keywords in the page. By Dropping text here you can append it to search bar value.

[Find In This Page] button

Popup keywords and Choose one of them to find.

[Go Up] button

Move up a level in site. Allow you to open list of upper levels by Clicking Right mouse button and Choose one of them. (eg. http://hoge.example.com/hoge/ -> http://hoge.example.com/ -> http://example.com/ -> http://www.example.com/)
