Townswomen’s
Guild
Welcome to the web
pages of the Twickenham Heathfield Townswomen’s Guild. Click on any underlined word to move to a new
page.
Heathfield is one of
the 16 Guilds in the South Middlesex Federation of Townswomen’s Guilds, which
in turn is one of the 106 Federations comprising the Townswomen’s Guilds
movement.
Twickenham is about
13 miles (18km) west of the centre of London and is famous as the Headquarters
and main stadium of the English Rugby Football Union.
Our web pages try
to give you both a flavour of the Townswomen’s Guild movement as well as
telling you about Heathfield Guild and the area in which we live. Visitors are invited
to attend TWO Guild meetings, after which we hope that they will join. The May and December meetings are usually
limited to paid up members and officially invited guests.
Our Information page will tell you about the Guild, whilst our Groups page will tell you about the different activities
we undertake. Heathfield Guild has several interest groups, which reflect our
diverse membership: Drama, Luncheon,
Games, Cinema, Theatre and Hobbies/Discussion.
Of
course you will want to know about our future events
so we have created a special page for you.
Can we recommend
our “Links” page called “The Graffiti Wall”, which
lists sites of special interest to women as well as local websites of note.
Lastly, there is a
page which will tell you about the virtual guild of the Townswomen’s Guilds
movement which is called
“Townswomen-on-Line”, although you might
prefer to visit their website at:
