Twickenham
Heathfield
Yownswomen's
Guild
The Townswomen have their roots in
the Suffragist Movement, which derived in turn from the Kensington Ladies
Discussion Group formed in 1865
When women obtained the vote in 1928
Margery Corbett Ashby and others saw the need for an organisation directed
towards women living in towns and cities, which would help them to manage their
new-found freedom
Twickenham Heathfield Guild was formed in 1958

bag. The bags are collected once a year
and the contents are sent to the Princess Alice Hospice.
