Hi Diane, You most certainly can post any info I send !!! The message at the bottom of my letter was sent to me from Barbara Pearce Rawlins through Genealogy.com I thought you would find this interesting as well. Until I received it, I'd had no response whatsoever from anyone, nor did I have any clue as to where I was going wrong. This small message helped so much, and also led me to you. I had no idea that he (Abednego) had changed his name, although I can't say I blame him. As for the names of his children, here they are according to the 1871 census. Some of the names are abbreviated, so maybe you can make a little more sense out of them than I. Also, these are approximate dates of birth, and may be a bit off.

My 2x Gt Grandfather was Thomas Uren bp 30 November 1817 Sennen brother of Abednego Harvey Uren (he changed hisname to Benjamin) bp 5 December 1830 Sennen. Parents were Nicholas Uren bp 29 June 1777 Sennen & Tabitha Uren nee Hall bp 10 April 1789 Madron.According to my research Bejamin (Abednego Harvey) m Frances Thomas of Madron 1857 and Thomas Uren m Sarah Brooking 3 Dec 1848. Hope this information helps. I thought that Searle was an unusual middle name ? I guess it's probably just a coincidence that your Grandmother married a Richards and that my Grandmother was a Richards as well ? And married a Uren ? I guess they are both very common names. I know there are thousands of Richards over there, and who knows how many Uren's. I hope this information is helpful to you.Sincerely, Shelly |
