Terry has provided us with some great old photos taken by his father, Mr. Kenneth Knight. Tea Treat Day in Troon was always a great day - saffron buns, Camborne band, a procession around the village, and in later times, a fair. The Serpentine Walk was performed in the Square - the origins of this walk are unknown. For a full description of the Serpentine Walk, see David Oates' book 'The story of Troon'. Some very early school photos have also been provided.
If anyone would like to provide the names of people in the photographs - we would love to have them. Email: troonexiles@lycos.co.uk Early Troon Boys' School Outside Methodist Chapel c 1953.
