Day Four
Inverarnan to Tyndrum
The saga continues...

...The rain was battering down on the roof of the "beehive" so there was no chance of brewing up a cup of tea let alone something to eat. The good weather was just that, too good to last, well at least we will be a bit cooler on the walk I thought.

I reminded the snoring heap in the corner that he promised to climb a mountain or two in Glencoe with the girls from the Inverarnan Arms. Glencoe! climbing mountains! We will be lucky if we make the next part of the walk to Tyndrum. You should have seen his ugly mug when it dawned on him what his dutch courage led him into promising! "Never mind" he said we will just continue the walk and forget about them. I donned the waterproofs and left him there, saying I was going over to the inn to tell the girls that they could forget about us climbing mountains in Glencoe. I met them down in the bar and they were all togged up for the mountains and told them the news. A bite to eat and a swift shandy brought me back to a semblance of life. 'Rennie' popped his head round the door and sloped up to the table looking suitably hungover and wet......to be continued
