When do tickets go on sale?
- Tickets will go on sale at 9am on Sunday
April 3rd, 2005.
What do tickets cost?
- Weekend tickets will cost £125.00 plus
£4.00 booking fee and £4.00 postage and packing.
- Day tickets are not available, unless you
are a local resident wanting to come on Sunday.
Where
and how do I buy tickets?
- Tickets will be made available for online
sales through the website address –www.aloud.com.
You will be able to go direct to the online ticket sales site,
or by a link from the official Festival website
www.glastonburyfestivals.co.uk.
Glastonbury Festival will endeavour to cancel all bookings made
using multi-hit software or programs. Festival organisers want
to ensure that all those who wish to be at Glastonbury 2005 have
a fair and equal chance of becoming a ticket holder.
- Tickets will also be sold through the
telephone ticket line 0870 165 2005. There is a queuing
system for telephone sales, so be aware you will incur
additional telephone charges at national call rate as you wait
your turn.
- If tickets sell as quickly as in 2004, it
is expected that the majority will be sold online, so that is
likely to be your best bet!
- No other sites or agencies will
be allocated tickets. Any other companies claiming to sell
Festival tickets are bogus.
How
do I pay?
- Payment by card for UK sales (both online
and by telephone) will be by the following debit cards
only - Visa Debit, Visa Electron, Switch/Maestro Domestic and
Solo. Credit cards will not be accepted for
UK sales. (For the purpose of ticket sales the UK includes
Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands.)
- Postal orders and cheques raised by
either a building society or a bank (as a Bankers Draft) will
also be accepted as payment on the telephone ticket line.
Please note personal cheques cannot be accepted.
- When you confirm your order you will be
given a reference number. Cheques or postal orders, together
with that reference number, must be received by the ticket
agency within five working days of the sale. The address of the
ticket agency is Wayahead, The Hollows, St James’ Street,
Nottingham NG1 6FJ. Cheques must be made out by the bank or
building society to “Glastonbury Festival 2005 Ltd”.
How will I know if I
have a ticket or not?
- When purchasing online, you will be sent a confirmation
email by See Tickets with a reference number, and when
purchasing by telephone you will be told a reference number –
write it down and keep it - it is confirmation of your purchase.
How do I get car
parking or camper/caravan tickets?
- Car Parking and campervan/caravan tickets
will be available to purchase in the same transaction as
festival tickets. Car parking tickets will cost £5 per vehicle
and campervan/caravan tickets will cost £45 per vehicle. Only
campervans or caravans with fitted sleeping, and washing or
cooking facilities will be allowed into the campervan field.
Please check the website for details of which types of vehicles
can use these fields.
- If you decide to buy a car park or
campervan ticket at a later date, once your festival ticket
sales have been confirmed, you can telephone 0870 165 2005
to make the purchase. You will be required to give the operator
the reference number confirming that you have bought festival
tickets.
- Car park tickets and campervan tickets
must be purchased in advance, and will be sent out with your
festival tickets and routing stickers.
How
many tickets can I buy?
- Tickets sales will be restricted to two
per person - and a maximum of two per telephone call. Each
transaction will be thoroughly checked, and duplicate
transactions will be declined - if not at the time of sale, at a
later stage when they are identified.
- When you purchase your two tickets, you need not be one of
the named people - they may be purchased for two other people,
but you will not then be able to make any further purchase for
yourself.
- There will be cases where there may be
more than one purchase from an address which has multiple
occupancy. While that is not a problem, such cases will be
checked to ensure there are no duplicate purchases.
Do children
of 12 and under need tickets?
- Children aged 12 and under when they
arrive at the Festival, and when accompanied by a ticket holding
adult, are free and do not need a ticket.
- It would be wise to bring ID, such as a CitizenCard, if the
child looks over the age of 12 - otherwise they may not be
admitted.
What about children
of 13, 14 and 15?
- In addition to the two tickets an adult
can purchase in their own right, they will also be able to buy a
maximum of two “Child tickets”. These tickets are for children
aged 13, 14 and 15, who must be accompanied at the entry gate by
that adult.
- “Child tickets” will be the same price as
adult tickets.
- “Child tickets” can be bought by the responsible adult
accompanying the child, who may have a different surname from
that adult. So a parent can buy child tickets for one of their
offspring and a friend.
- You can not buy more than two “child tickets”.
What
if I live outside UK?
- Overseas ticket sales will be handled
differently from UK ticket sales. If you are permanently living
abroad, you can only buy tickets online, or by telephoning +
44 1159 934 163 using a credit card. No UK sales will
be accepted using this process. Eire is treated as
overseas for the purpose of ticket sales.
- Tickets for overseas sales will not be
sent out by post, but can be collected from an office near the
festival site between Wednesday morning, June 22nd
and Sunday morning, June 26th 2005. Details of the
collection arrangements and the checks that will be carried out
will be sent to overseas ticket purchasers. For details of
overseas ticket collection.
What
information do I need when buying tickets?
-
The name and full address of each
Festival attendee must be given at time of booking,
(i.e. the ticket holders’ addresses and not that of the card
holder buying the tickets, if they are different.)
Tickets booked by someone not going, (e.g. parent etc) who
is booking for two other people will have the tickets posted
to the 1st named ticket holder.
- As there will be no refund once tickets
are printed, and no option to change the names of the Festival
attendees once ticket sales are confirmed, please be
sure all details are accurate when booking tickets.
- You will need your debit card to hand to
give all the necessary information to complete your purchase.
- If you change your address between
completing the sale and May 13th, please telephone 0870 120
0332. You will not be able to change the name on the ticket.
What ID do I need to get into
the Festival?
- All tickets will be personalized and
checks will be made at the gates comparing the information
printed on the ticket with approved ID. If the ID does not match
the information on the ticket you will be refused access to the
Festival.
- Every ticket holder will be required to
present their personalised ticket, along with one of the
following forms of ID - a new photo style driving license, or a
government approved photo ID bearing the PASS
hologram, such as the Citizen Card. You can apply for a Citizen
Card on-line through this link - www.citizencard.net/glastonbury,
however from 2nd June a surcharge of £15 applies to ensure you
receive your card in time for the Festival and no applications
can be made after Thursday 16th June.
- Children aged 12 and under, and “Child” ticket holders, will
not need entry ID if accompanied by the adult ticket holder.
-
Overseas Bookers – Non UK residents may present a Domestic,
Foreign or International Photo Driving licence, a
CitizenCard, or a Government Approved National
Identification Photo Card from their country of residence.
How soon will
money be processed?
- The debit card sales will be put through immediately and
certainly within two working days of the sale being confirmed.
- If there are insufficient funds in an account to honour the
sale, it will be rendered void and the tickets will be
reallocated. Any transaction that results in a charge back or
payment dispute will be cancelled.
- Cheques will be banked immediately they are received.
How/when
will tickets be distributed?
- Tickets will be sent out via secure mail
to the addresses specified when making the sale, and a signature
will be required on the point of the delivery.
- Tickets will start to be dispatched by
the ticket agency over a two week period starting 1st June.
- If you are not at home when the courier
calls, a card will be left giving you instructions on how to
contact the courier company to arrange for re-delivery, either
to your home address on another date or an alternative address
where you will need to provide ID at the point of delivery.
What
to do if there are problems with the transaction or the tickets are
not delivered?
- Please contact the ticket agency on telephone number0870
120 0332 (+44 1159 934 419 if overseas) .
- If the tickets are delivered to ticket holders, and
subsequently lost, destroyed or misplaced, there is no facility
to replace them. Sorry.
Can I cancel or
return my tickets?
- Ticket orders can be cancelled and ticket
price refunded until 6.00pm on May 13th.
- Telephone 0870 120 0332 to cancel
your ticket (+44 1159 934 419 if overseas).
- Tickets may not be transferred to another
name.
- There is no facility to deal with
cancelled orders after 6.00pm on 13th May, nor to
return tickets.
- It is not expected to have a further issue of tickets for
sale.
How do I buy a
ticket if I am a Central Somerset resident?
- The first and best option for local
residents to secure tickets is to follow the same procedures as
everybody else – online or by phone on April 3rd.
- A limited number of tickets for
people resident in Central Somerset, who have been unable to buy
tickets through the ticket line or the website, will be
available. Details of who can apply and how to apply will be
announced in local newspapers.
- The numbers of tickets held back are
significantly reduced from 2004, as some local residents who
purchased tickets through this concession attempted to sell-on
these tickets.
How do I buy
the Sunday tickets for local residents?
- Festival tickets are made available
exclusively to residents of Central Somerset to come to the
Festival for one day, on Sunday 26th June 2005.
Details of how to apply will be advertised in the local press.
- The £45 ticket price includes travel to
