Stormy weather. Look at the water, it is foamy over the bank and in waves against the dike, who is high enough. The people in the area Zaan are always alert. The polders behind the dikes are below the sea-level and Zaan level. The mill is build in 1649. He was build as an oilmill but later he was also active as a cocoa-mill. A disaster was on his way.....At Sunday the 14th.September 1924 the mill was on fire. The fire-brigade lost the struggle. Again a beautiful mill was gone for ever.
