This Summer It's All About WILD ORCHID!

Many of you were curious about wondering if Wild Orchid would ever reform what would happen to Stefanie Ridel and Renee Sandstorm, well as WildOrchid.8m.com reported, they are working on a new album, so of course Wild Orchid Online had to get on the phone and get all of the details from the people closest to the band itself, and we mean Close!

We have found out today, there will be a new official Wild Orchid web site, which will be wildorchid.com, and it's going to includes tons of links to all of the fan sites, it will also be updated weekly with all the latest info, pics, video in the studio, new song bites and so much more

About "Fire", there are no chances of the album getting released, so here is your chance to get the album yourself in the audio section of this site. The girls Renee & Stefanie are now a duo, and are near completion of their upcoming yet to be titled album (are we able to call this their 4th album or 3rd, a bit confusing if you ask me), but they are signed to a new exclusive recording contract, and their upcoming album to be released in the summer, will include a hot new video for it's first single, which hasn't been picked according to our sorces, for those who are a fan of "Simon Sez" from the "Fire" album, their new album will include a brand new remix version of the song.

If you also wondered who's managing Wild Orchid, the good news is they are still working with Ricky and Johnny Wright of the Wright Entertainment Group, you know the guys who manage 'N Sync and Britney Spears, and they are working hard for the international release of Wild Orchid's new album.

And today, we also found out Wild Orchid, are visitors of WILD ORCHID ONLINE - and they are very grateful for our hard work and deciation...

Stuttering (J. MaR-TiN's Deeper Era Remix)

One of the coolest Wild Orchid fans and regular Wild Orchid Online Message Board poster Martin AKA J. MaR-TiN, has put together an amazing remix of "Stuttering (Don't Say)" called the J. MaR-TiN's Deeper Era Remix, and trust us it's very good, this is clearly better than most of the other "Stuttering" remixes out there. Yesterday was also his birthday - so

Happy Birthday MARTIN

11,558 Plays in the month of March!

When RCA Records decided they weren't going to release "Fire," they didn't think about the public anticipation of the album. But Obviously others have taken notice, such as SoundClick and the Music Industry News Network, but the month of March has been an amazing month for the girls of Wild Orchid at mp3.com, the worlds biggest music web site. In 31 days the girls received 11,558 plays, also bringing their little over 3 month total to 23,742 Total Plays to Date at the end of March.

"Just Another Girl" ended up being one of the 20 most downloaded Contemporary Urban songs of March, and also spent an amazing 38 consecutive days in the Top 40 of the Contemporary Urban chart, not to mention stay an amazing 3 weeks in the Top 20 of the chart with songs by Janet Jackson, Brandy, Tweet, Lindsay Pagano, Incubus, Craig David, Babyface, RES, Olivia and others.

At that's not just all, MP3.com also featured Wild Orchid in their 'Countdown' to the Grammy's Feature Artist section along with Faith Hill, Ryan Adams, Madonna, and Pink, and went as far to call them 'American's Hottest Female Group'

MP3.com is also offering a special Wild Orchid Music Channel, where you can download exclusive features, for $5.99, and all profits will go to WILD ORCHID. Click for more info on the Wild Orchid Channel Subscription

Wild Orchid spends 28 straight days in MP3.com Top 40 Contemporary Urban Download Charts!

A few years ago MP3.com was the home of many indie artist, but these days everyone from Janet Jackson to Limp Bizkit to Madonna to Brandy count on them to promote their current hits.

In just a few months they got over 18,056 Total Plays to Date!!!! And weird enough 6,925 downloads came in the last 20 days!!! So that mp3.com Wild Orchid site is bringing in tons of support and that means people are starting to hear "Fire". They are getting about 400 plays a day, and when you think that 400 people out there each day are listening to Wild Orchid from that site.. That is a very very good thing.

You can download such Wild Orchid tracks like "Just Another Girl," and "It's All Your Fault,".

As of today "Just Another Girl" is #19 on their download chart, and "World Without You," is #38 moving up from #39, both songs doing better than tracks from new Mary J. Blige, Lindsay Pagano and DMX.

Head of RCA is GONE! The Man who fired Wild Orchid!

Maybe this will work for Wild Orchid and since I know (from Marta Marrero, their Wild Orchid's former manager) Bob Jamieson has been all for Wild Orchid from the start. So I guess it's time to show our support for Wild Orchid now that Jack is gone! (the man who didn't want a video for "Stuttering") is gone!

ROVNER EXITS, JAMIESON NAMED RCA MUSIC GROUP HEAD

Veteran Record Exec Relieved of Post, BMG’s Jamieson Takes Over Label Management

March 13, 2002

Jack Rovner is out as President of RCA Records.

The label veteran was on the job for a little more than a year. He was named to the post last February by BMG Entertainment N.A. President/CEO Bob Jamieson (see hitsdailydouble.com, 2/15/01) who will effectively take over running the label with his North American crew, putting rest—for the time being—to the talk RCA would be folded into another label in the music group.

As part of the move, BMG will dismantle its North American corporate operations. Jamieson will be named Chairman of a re-established RCA Music Group, orginally formed by BMG President/CEO Strauss Zelnick in May 2000, then discontinued upon his exit in December of the same year.

Under the new structure, RCA Records, BMG Canada, RCA Nashville, RCA Victor, the Heritage labels and Special Products will all report to Jamieson. In his new role, he will also be charged with creating and establishing new labels under the RCA Music Group umbrella. Nashville head Joe Galante, RCA Victor Group Exec. VP/GM David Weyner and BMG Canada chief Lisa Zbitnew will continue to report to Jamieson, but Arista President/CEO Antonio "L.A." Reid will now report directly to BMG CEO Rolf-Schmidt-Holtz.

Rovner was previously Jamieson’s #2 as ExecutiveVP/GM of the label and played a key role in developing such hit acts as Dave Matthews Band, Christina Aguilera, David Gray, The Calling, Vertical Horizon and, most recently, PoMo buzz band The Strokes and fast-breaking new rock act Trik Turner. Following a directive from corporate, he dismantled the label’s Urban department. With just over 12 months under his belt, Rovner’s exit is one more case of an executive given control over a label and then not allowed the time to succeed.

This marks the latest in a series of corporate executive moves by BMG to find effective leadership for its North American labels following the shake-up caused by the departures of Michael Dornemann and Zelnick, and the subsequent death of Rudi Gassner in December 2000 (see hitsdailydouble.com, 12/23/00).

Jamieson, who was previously President of the label, was named head of BMG’s North American operations January '01 (see hitsdailydouble.com, 1/16) by Schmidt-Holtz. Jamieson then named Rovner as his heir apparent. Last July, Rovner tapped Richard Sanders as his Executive VP/GM (see hitsdailydouble.com, 7/12). No further executive changes at the label are expected.

Before joining RCA, Rovner was Sr. VP at Arista Records and worked in Columbia Records’ marketing department.
